1. Official announcement No. 1: changes to bus logistics
San Gil, June 18, 2025. For 100-mile, Metro Half Marathon and Marathon runners.
Because of road works on the access roads to some towns and the heavy, persistent rains, please note:
- Due to a road closure, crew access at the Pitiguao checkpoint is canceled (100 miles).
- This year there is no crew access at the Jordán checkpoint.
- Family crew access remains in place in Curití, Aratoca, Panachi, Villanueva, Barichara and San Gil.
For Metro Half Marathon and Marathon runners:
- There will be no transport to Jordán for family members or spectators: the buses carry runners only.
- The main road to Jordán (turning off at km 18 of the San Gil–Bucaramanga road) is under construction and closed to all vehicles. Do not drive there in a private car.
- The buses will leave together at 2:00 a.m. from Centro Comercial El Puente or from Barichara's main square. Filling in the bus form is mandatory.
- To board the bus you must wear your bib and bring your bus ticket and runner wristband.
- Be at the departure point early: once the convoy leaves there will be no additional transport, not even by private car.
- The buses will go as far as the village of Morros, on the road to Jordán where the works are, 5.6 km from town. From there, runners walk down to Jordán (5.6 km).
- Runners who prefer not to walk can take the "turbo" trucks waiting about 200 meters past the works, with support from the event logistics team. As the trucks will make several trips, please be on time, follow the instructions at the transfer point, and be patient and cooperative.
- Runners who booked the Saturday bus (10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.) will follow the same process and should arrange with their hotel to be picked up at the transfer point.
Please follow these instructions to the letter: these are unforeseen circumstances and this is the best and only solution. Stay positive and full of energy! See you on Friday and Saturday at kit pick-up, at Centro Comercial El Puente, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

2. Final bus times to Jordán
To make Saturday kit pick-up easier and reach Jordán in good time, the bus times are:
- Saturday, 10:00 a.m., from San Gil (optional).
- Saturday, 2:00 p.m., from San Gil (optional).
- Sunday, 2:00 a.m., San Gil to Jordán (all runners).
- Sunday, 2:00 a.m., Barichara to Jordán (optional).
Filling in the bus form published in the runner guide is mandatory.
3. Road updates for vehicles
Due to the rainy season, some roads have restrictions:
- Road to Pitiguao (100-mile spectators): maintenance work has started on the main road, so the authorized crew checkpoint at Pitiguao is canceled.
- Road to Jordán: the main road is closed for works. Only the secondary road, reached near the Pescadero bridge, is open, and it is recommended only for high-clearance vehicles and runner transport. This year family crew support is not allowed at the Jordán checkpoint.
