B. Registration methods, terms and payments

• You can register online from the Registration page, or in person at the Ríos y Canoas office in San Gil.
• The payment platform offers several payment methods. Please note that it charges an additional 5% + COP 2,000 on top of the registration fee, shown as a "service fee".
• Prices, registration dates, discounts, what your purchase includes and the information, conditions and restrictions for each distance are published on this website.
• Registrations, their prices and any discounts apply only to the edition offered and purchased.

C. Purchase conditions

By registering you accept, before, during and after the event:

1. The race rules and environmental policy.
2. This purchase, requirement, restriction, refund and change policy.
3. The technical requirements and conditions, categories, prizes, procedures and everything else set out on the website for the race and each distance, even if changes are made for logistical, safety or other reasons.
4. The conditions described in the participant liability waiver, even if you never sign the document physically or digitally after registering.
5. To prepare your mandatory gear and bring it to runner check-in in San Gil, on the date, time and place set for your distance in the schedule. Runners who do not present their complete mandatory gear will not receive a bib.

D. Changes, deferrals and refunds

1. Registration fees are not refunded under any circumstances, except in the cases provided for e-commerce sales by the Colombian Consumer Protection Statute (Law 1480 of 2011): the right of withdrawal and payment reversal (Article 51). The request must be made within five days of purchase by email to info@chicamochacanyonrace.com and soporte@eventrid.com.co, with a copy of the payment ticket, your contact details and the request. The reversal times and conditions of the payment platform, banks and other parties in the payment chain apply.

2. There is no refund of the registration fee if the participant ultimately does not take part in the event for any reason, including unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure.
3. The organizers are not liable for, nor obliged to refund, the registration fee if unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure or a decision by a government authority or institution prevent the event from taking place on the scheduled date.
4. Any change, transfer or deferral must be requested by email to info@chicamochacanyonrace.com, including your details (name, ID number and mobile phone) and what you want to do with your place. To transfer your registration, include the name, ID number, phone, email and distance of the runner taking your place. To change distance, state your current and new distance; if the new one is longer, send proof of payment for the difference. Change conditions depend on the date of the request and the case. Always make sure you receive a confirmation email from us.
5. Any change from a shorter to a longer distance requires paying the price difference, whenever it is requested.
6. The new runner, or you in your new distance, must log in to the runner platform and update all requested details and documents.
7. Any registration deferred to the following year must pay the difference between that year's price and the next year's to be reactivated. The applicable price is the one in force the following year at the time you reactivate your place; if you bought with a discount, that discount does not carry over to the following year. The same applies to places deferred from the previous year.
8. If you have already deferred your registration once, it cannot be deferred a second time; in that case you can only transfer your place within the permitted periods.
9. Complimentary, raffle or prize places are valid only for the year assigned, are personal and non-transferable (unless the raffle or prize conditions state otherwise) and cannot be deferred.

E. Deadlines for changes, transfers and deferrals

Several weeks before each edition, the race team carries out the administrative close: printing bibs, medals and shirts, assigning start lists to logistics, timing, live broadcasts, hiring suppliers and staff, and insurance, among other tasks. Therefore:

• Before the administrative close: any change, transfer or deferral is free of administrative charges. You only pay the price difference between years or for moving up to a longer distance.
• During the month after the administrative close: free changes are accepted only for certified medical reasons. Without a medical certificate, any change carries an administrative fee of COP 100,000. In both cases the price difference applies, and you can request deferrals, transfers or distance changes.
• In the final weeks before the race and up to the event: deferral requests are not accepted. Only transfers or distance changes are possible, with the COP 100,000 administrative fee, with or without a medical certificate; the shirt and bib will be those already assigned to the original runner, unless a new bib is available.

The exact dates of each stage are part of the registration conditions of each edition.

F. If you do not start the race

If you do not show up and did not make any authorized change, transfer or deferral, you can:

• Ask a friend to collect your race shirt (not the bib or finisher medal) during check-in, handing the organizers the third-party collection authorization form and stating that you will not race, so you are removed from the race attendance list.
• Ask for the shirt to be sent to your address (Colombia only, in areas covered by Interrapidísimo) by emailing info@chicamochacanyonrace.com within ten days after the race; later requests are not accepted. Shipping is paid on delivery to the courier, and shipments go out about a month after the race.
• Claim, with your ID number, a COP 100,000 discount code for the next edition.

Impersonation. If you do not start and a friend collects your bib, it is forbidden for anyone else to race under your name, with or without your bib: it is a risk for the runner and for the organizers. Any runner found impersonating another will be disqualified and banned from future editions; if it is proven that the registered runner authorized it, they will receive the same sanctions.
